Japanese Illustrators’ Rep / Licensing Agent for Commercial Illustration, Artworks & Characters
Masahito Yamada
Mr. Yamada explains, “I don’t just paint with an airbrush, but rather I draw unique and original pictures utilizing special techniques I cultivated from my long experience in custom painting. The refraction of the light expressed on the metal plates expands the color very uniquely, and with that I am able to achieve an original world of expression.” With “Earth Environment” as his core theme for production, he donates a portion of the profits from “Polar Bear Peace” posters to Ehime Prefecture Tobe Zoo and others.
Mr. Yamada began a motorcycle custom paint shop business in 1988. With the shop name “MAKAMIKA Paint & Art” he started creating “ART” more extensively. Then he started pursuing his unique technique, where he scratches the surface of metal plates and coloring with pellucid paint. In 2011, Mr. Yamada Acquired the rights to use “Polar Bear Peace” trademark from Ehime-Prefecture Tobe Zoo. He started producing his original artworks with the Earth and its environment as his main themes. In 2012 he produced “Rising Dragon with Cherry Blossom” and exibited it at the “60th Spring Showcase” hosted by Ehime Prefecture.
