Eri Saike
Combining her professional experience in the fields of graphic design and apparel design, Ms. Saike investigates the artistic possibilities of fabric. Her collages are an assemblage of applique and computer generated images, transferred onto hand-woven, hand-dyed cloth. Her works can be called paintings, but they are in fact painted with fabric and accompanied by layers of applique that evoke a unique world. Ms. Saike enjoys studying the various color combinations in this world of hers, sometimes for years at a time.
