| Biography | After attending design / architecture school, Ms. Erika Ito entered the photography industry. She believes that art which moves people's hearts involves life, so her artwork is based on her own life and emotions. In 2010 she began creating illustrations with flower motifs in which her use of the movements of color and light (gradation) create a distinctive look that moves people intuitively. In 2012, working with a motion designer, her unique illustrations were used to animate a rap video for a popular musician. Through this collaboration her work now appears around the world on social media. Whether hosting an exhibition at Shinjuku Gold Town in downtown Tokyo, or continuing to work with musicians and filmmakers, she will continue expanding on, and expressing, her own unique world. |
